My Introduction to You
The time has come. I’m finally taking the first big steps into a world I’ve forever dreamed of entering. I’ll admit, I’m not sure what the hell I’m doing, but that’s okay. I’m all right with that, because… well, it happens to be the only thing that makes sense to me at this current moment.
See, I’ve got a particularly wacky viewpoint on happiness and success. To me, it’s not about the big “M” word. That’s right, Moose. No... wait… money. Yeah, money. I know, I know, I can hear you scoffing from here. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of this has to do with financial freedom and independence. I can’t stand working for the (insert applicable gender or gender neutral identifier). You know what I mean. But that’s not what this is about. It’s more about the simple pursuit of happiness. Which, apparently, is a right of mine. Don’t be jealous, I got in just before the cutoff.
I’ve only ever wanted to be a creator of things and stuff. Personally, I want neither fame nor fortune (although, I’ll take the latter if it falls in my lap… or if it stumbles there… or if it runs up and asks to take a seat). Anyway, all I’ve ever done for fun and happiness is use my imagination. One of the forms this has taken is the form of comics and writing – you know, world building. I think it’s an escape for me. Viewing these worlds I create through the eyes of the characters I concoct is a way for me to live vicariously in a world where things are just so much... cooler. So, I’m making it happen. Well, I’m trying, at least.
I’m embarking on a personal journey into fruition. Manifest Happiness, I’m calling it (trademarked, so f**k off). This is a journey to manifest my imagination and bring these things into the world (global domination pending). The ultimate goal for a stubborn bastard like myself, who can’t follow the rules, is self reliance and independence. For a lot of people, multimedia has been a great way to do that.
And so it is here that I’ll start making my own comics, books, and hopefully, other media, and I want all of you to come along for the ride. My mind is going bonkers with ideas for different comic series, graphic novels, one-shots, mini series, and even games. All of these things are the goal of this venture. I want to build this from the ground up, right alongside the masses (by “masses”, I mean you, of course).
We can do this!
If I can bring even a portion of the stuff in my head out into the world, I’ll consider this whole thing not to be a failure. If I have anything to say about it, this place will become flooded with great content, characters, places and worlds to delve into.
So, again, the time has come. Let’s get on this shambling horse and ride it straight into the great gaping maw of success! Or something… I just want a nap.
